Here are a few of the places where I enjoy hanging out. I'll need to clean that out someday, but let's start with the unavoidable popular and graphic places of the Internets: Questionable Content, Something Positive, A Softer World, xkcd, PhD Comics, GraphJam and Post Secret.

Then we have my favorite women scientists (but hey, they write beautifully and wittily and you don't need to be a woman nor a scientist to enjoy their blogs): I'll list Katie at Minor Revisions, Dr Isis, Ethics and Science, Gentleman's C and Professor in Training for now. Oh, and New Kid deserves an academic mention although she is not a scientist but a historian working her way through law school.

Even if you are not a scientist, much understandable scientific hotness and myth debunking can be found at Bad Astronomy, Bad Science and Science Based Medicine.

For more politically engaged conversations, I hang out at Bitch, PhD, Deus Ex Malcontent, Taibblog or The Third Estate. Can you tell I like my provocation with a little bit of political incorrectness on the side?

I am not in the mood of categorizing further so I'll give you a big bundle of goodness with The Blogess, Good Mom / Bad Mom, I Am Bossy, AliThinks, Glossed Over, Looky, Daddy, Woulda Coulda Shoulda, and Dooce.

All these 'Merkins are really nice, you think, but what about the UK? And I bring you Little Red Boat, Non-Working Monkey, Brennig Jones. Smaller than Life and Jimmsy Jampots.

And don't start being all equal opportunity with me because I am not listing any English speaking blog from outside the US and UK. I can't help it if all the three people I know who wrote from Australia / New Zealand either stopped blogging or moved.
